Senior Games

The Sonoma County Summer Wine Games are held yearly in conjunction with the Council on Aging. You can expect a great, well-run tournament, good food, and an amazing array of raffle items. We’re looking forward to another great competition and hope to see you there!

Registration for the 2025 Sonoma Wine Country Games Pickleball Tournament opens up at12:01 a.m. on Saturday, March 1st.

We’re using a new registration system this year; designed by one of our pickleball commissioners, so it should be a lot more user-friendly than what we’ve used in the past.

Well the 2024 senior games turned out to be epic. We had three full days of fun and competition. Everybody’s getting more versed with running tournaments and playing in tournaments and just having a bunch of fun. Our committees for everything were wonderful. Everyone was very committed to making the tournament special again this year.

The baskets were a huge draw. They were beautifully done and we couldn’t have done it without the work of the committee and each and every person who contributed to the baskets by donating generously.

Thank you also to everybody who participated in trying to win one of the beautiful baskets.

Another huge reach out to the city manager and city Council of Rohnert Park. Also, big thanks to the department of Park and Rec and the department of public works. Everything went off without a glitch and the park looked fantastic.

As usual, all the entry fees that were raised were given to the Council On Aging. A very worthy cause and one with which we are happy to contribute to as well.Once again, Rohnert Park knocked it out of the park. We are nothing without each other. Our village is absolutely amazing and we appreciate each and everyone of you.

The 2023 tournament that was held on our Pickleball Courts at Sunrise Park on June 10-12 and was a huge success.

Ken and Kathy Kerst handed over the reins, but did not leave us alone, and guided us through the entire tournament. Molly, Bill, Mir, Elyse, Brooke, Dave, and Nancy just to name a few…were paramount to the success of the tournament.  But not to forget the fabulous group of volunteers who came on day one and stayed through day three.

This tournament could not have been such a huge success without ALL the help…..The drawing was a big hit, the bbq was great and the 100 degree heat was hard to penetrate the 15 canopies that we had to maneuver…….
